Anyhow, the Thaler Alp, built in 2004, offers you plenty of modern comfort: a fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker, dishwasher, cooker hood, electric stove and oven, as well as a living room with satellite TV, and a shoe drying room with a washing machine.
Both, during your summer hiking holiday and during your skiing vacation, on the Thaler Alp you can enjoy the same amenities as back home. Equipped with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious living room, the mountain lodge Thaler Alp in the Dolomites offers plenty of space for up to 9 persons.

Numerous panoramic hiking trails lead through the alpine mountains world of the Latemar massif and offer spectacular views of Lake Carezza, Mount Latemar, Col Cornon and the adjacent Cattinaccio group. A moderately difficult hiking trail takes you from Lake Carezza in 6 hours walking time through the unique rock labyrinth of Mount Latemar. But also the difficult hike up to the 2317 meters high Mount Weißdorn awaits you with unique round vistas during the 7-hour walk.
Alpine winter holidays in the heart of the Skiing Area Latemar
Because of the location right in the heart of the Skiing Area Latemar, at the mountain lodge Thaleralm you can enjoy a variety of winter sports.
Here, you will have direct access to approx. 48 kilometres of skiing fun, distributed on a total of 37 different slopes. Furthermore, the three close-by Snowboard Fun Parks and the toboggan run “Obereggen” offer best conditions for skiing holidays with your children.
Directly in front of the door of your skiing lodge Thaler Alp there are the two cable cars, Laner and Absam Maierl,which in winter will take you to the Thaler Alp. From the top station you will reach the lodge only by skis, while your luggage is transported with the snowmobile of the Gargitter family. Winter holidays on the Thaler Alp will offer you not only a variety of sports highlights, but also a lot of romantic atmosphere. The crackling fireplace, the cosy warmth of the convenient wood chip heating system and the modern and yet very pleasant, rustic interior made in natural wood create a welcoming ambiance.

A winter holiday at the Thaler Alp offers you 41 km of ski slopes directly on the doorstep of the self-catering lodge in South Tyrol. Blue slopes for beginners, families and children; red slopes for experienced skiers or black slopes for daring pros – the ski area Latemar – with 2 ski lifts, 14 chair lifts and 2 cable cars – offers excellent skiing experiences during your winter holiday. The skiing area Latemar extends cross-border from the South Tyrolean Obereggen all the way to Predazzo in Trentino.

Own spring water
Built in 2004, the Thaler Alp combines modern comfort with alpine cosiness. Warm wooden floors, stylish and solid wood furniture and the Swedish stove provide a cosy atmosphere during your mountain vacation. Double or family rooms – the three guest rooms will accommodate 2- 8 persons. Two modern bathrooms with shower, toilet and towel dryer are awaiting you at the Thaler Alp, as well as a drying room with washing machine and a comfortably furnished panoramic terrace.
In the fully equipped kitchen you will not only find an electric stove, an oven and a fridge-freezer combination, but also a dishwasher, a coffee machine, various kitchen appliances, dishes and pots for up to 8 persons. Enjoy evenings in good company in front of the fireplace in the cosy living room, where a couch, a dining table and a bench invite you to TV nights or game evenings. For hygiene reasons pets are not allowed at the Thaler mountain lodge.

Guest Pass Val d’EgaExclusively for our guests
Upon arrival, our guests receive the Val d’Ega Guest Pass, which allows them to use public transport free of charge and without restrictions during their stay – in the Val d’Ega and throughout South Tyrol!
With the Guest Pass Eggental you can use all ski and hiking buses, as well as the public transport of the South Tyrolean transport association:
- Local buses (city buses, intercity buses, city buses)
- Hiking buses & ski buses
- Regional trains in South Tyrol: Brenner to Trento and Mals to Innichen
- Cable cars to Ritten, Meransen, Mölten, Vöran and Kohlern
- Ritten tram and the funicular to the Mendel
- A round trip with the Swiss PostAuto between Mals and Müstair

Price conditions
- The hut is only rented by the week.
- The prices are per day, for 4 persons in summer or for 6 persons in winter, each additional person pays 50,00 Euro/day
- Final cleaning 110,00 Euro
- In winter luggage transport by snowmobile 50,00 Euro.
- The hut is not accessible by car in winter.
- Car park in Obereggen.
- The price includes electricity, waste disposal, heating, bed linen, towels, a box of firewood.
- Free toboggan hire!

Non-smoker
Smoking is not permitted in the flat! You are welcome to smoke on the balcony.
From January 1st, 2024, our municipality will charge a tourist tax of €2.40 per day and person, from the age of 14, and will be charged separately.

Arrival & Departure
The holiday flat is ready for you from 3.00 pm on the day of arrival. You are welcome to enquire the day before whether an earlier arrival is possible. If you arrive after 8.00 pm, please let us know by telephone.
On the day of departure we ask you to vacate the flat by 9.00 a.m. in order to ensure that the following guests can move in on time.
Pets
We ask for your understanding, but unfortunately pets are not allowed.
Deposit, reservation and payment
We are happy to receive written reservations by e-mail. The reservation becomes valid as soon as the agreed deposit has been paid.
Deposit for rental contract 20% of the total amount. Please transfer the balance two weeks before arrival.
The reservation is binding after written confirmation by both parties. In the event of late arrival or early departure, 100% of the cost of the stay for the entire booking days will be charged.
The invoice must be paid in cash or by bank transfer. Unfortunately, payment by debit or credit card is not possible.
Cancellation
We look forward to seeing you.
You can cancel free of charge up to 3 months before arrival.
From 3 months to 4 weeks before arrival we charge 3 days of the travel price.
Within the last 4 weeks before arrival the cancellation fee is 80% of the booking price.
